Cocktail de Talma is by the very famous stallion, Baloubet du Rouet, who was ridden by Brazilian show jumper Rodrigo Pessoa, and together they won many of the greatest competitions, including two Olympic medals and several world cup titles.

Cocktail comes from one of the best damlines in the world. His dam Reggae de Talma, by Cento, is ranked the best broodmare in the world, according to Hippomundo¹. She already has eight off-spring jumping above 1.55m internationally, including Cocaine de Talma ridden by Jessica Springsteen and Une de l’Othain ridden by Harrie Smolders.

Cocktail has performed successfully at the top level of show jumping under Belgian rider, Gregory Wathelet. In 2021, as a 9 year old, he won two consecutive CSI2* at St Tropez, before finishing sixth at the CSI5* Grands Prix in Stockholm and ninth at the CSI5* Grands Prix in Valkensvaard. In 2022, he finished ninth in the CSI5* Longines Grand Prix of Equita Leon and eight in the CSI3* Grand Prix of Brussels.

In 2023, Cocktail moved to Derryglen Stud in Ireland. With Deirdre Reilly, Cocktail now continues his international show jumping career. After several impressive performances, the combination were selected for the Irish Nations Cup Team at the CSIO4* World Cup show in Rabat, Morocco, where the team finished fourth.
