Kafka vd Heffinck is a proven sire who is destined to become a show jumping legend!

This fantastic stallion is one of the stars of the show jumping world today with an amazing competition record at 5* level.

At only 9 years old, he won the Athens 5* Grand Prix! Kafka was qualified for the Tokyo Olympics and was selected for the European Championships in 2019 but it was decided not to bring him as he was too young.

Since then, Kafka has continued to impress with many excellent placings at 4* and 5* shows all over Europe. At 14 years old, Kafka continues to compete at the top level of the sport, alongside his very talented young progeny that are already successfully breaking onto the top 5* shows!

This Belgium warmblood approved stallion (Calvaro x Diamant de Semilly) combines the best bloodlines from Holstein and France. His dam competed at 1.50m and had plenty of thoroughbred blood.

His sire’s sire Caletto 1 is one of the best sons of Cor de la Breyere, who is also the sire of the highly influential eventing sire, Cavalier Royale. His Dam’s dam also goes back to Cor de la Bryere and the top thoroughbred dam Puszta-Lany. Kafka himself has got the bravery, strength and temperament, along with the obvious scope and gallop to meet all the requirements to breed a top eventer.

He won a team medal at the European Championships in Hickstead in 1983 and was the most successful German Nations Cup horse in 1985. His progeny went on to compete at Olympic Games and WEG and he produced several top approved stallions and excellent brood mares.
  • His sire’s dam’s sire Capitol 1 spend many years at the very top of the WBFSH standings. He was represented at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 by 3 of his progeny and at the Athens Olympic Games by 4 of his progeny.
  • His dam’s sire’s sire was the magnificent Le Tot de Semilly who had an incredibly successful show jumping career winning 22 international and 63 international Grand Prix between 1988 and 1991.
